At Runi we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD). This policy explains what data we collect, for what purpose, and what rights you have over it.
Data controller
Paula Botella, owner of the runi.run domain, is the controller of the data collected through this website.
Data collected
When you voluntarily join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the language of the page you join from (Spanish or English). If you arrive through another person's invitation link, we also store that person's code. We give you your own 6-digit invitation code, and we record the date you joined and whether your access to the beta is approved.
If you also accept analytics cookies, we collect website usage data, as explained in the Cookies and web analytics section.
Purpose
We use this data to manage the waitlist and the staged access to the beta, to send you a confirmation email when you join, to manage invitations (knowing who invited whom and giving you your link and code to share) and to inform you of news related to the launch of the Runi service. If you accept analytics cookies, we use that data only to understand how the website is used and to improve it.
Legal basis
The legal basis for processing your data is your express consent, given when you enter your email in the waitlist form.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO rights) over your personal data at any time.
Service providers and disclosure to third parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. To provide the service we use technical providers that receive the data needed for it: Supabase, where the waitlist is stored; Vercel, which hosts the website; and Resend, which sends the confirmation email on behalf of Runi (it receives your email address, as the recipient, and the code and invitation link that appear in the email).
Resend stores its account data, including the logs of the emails sent, in the United States, so sending the email may involve an international transfer of data.
In addition, the web analytics provider (Google) only receives data if you accept analytics cookies, as explained in the next section.
Cookies and web analytics
If you accept analytics cookies in the notice shown when you arrive, we use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to measure how many people visit Runi, where they come from and which pages they view. If you reject them or do not answer, no Google tool is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
With your consent, the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier are set. They are used to tell visitors and sessions apart and last up to 2 years. The data collected is the pages visited, where the visit came from, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location. We do not use this information to identify you and we do not link it to the email you gave for the waitlist.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, and the processing may involve transfers of data to the United States under the safeguards provided by the GDPR. Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw or change it at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. We store your choice in your browser's local storage for 12 months.
Data retention
We keep your waitlist data (email, language and invitation codes) until you ask to be removed or until the product launches, at which point you will be informed about how your data is processed in the final service. You can ask to be removed or to have your data deleted by replying to the confirmation email or by writing to the contact in this policy.
